Pakistan legend Zaheer Abbas, who is popularly known as the Asian Bradman, is admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) of a private hospital in London.
According to Geo News, Abbas, 74, was moved to the ICU in Saint Mary’s Hospital in Paddington, where he was put on Oxygen support.
He had tested positive for COVID-19 while traveling from Dubai to London. He was later diagnosed with pneumonia after arriving in London.
“He is currently on dialysis, and the doctors have told him to refrain from meeting people,” Geo News quoted a source as saying.
Abbas hit 5062 runs in 72 Tests, while his tally stands at 2572 runs in 62 ODIs. In his first-class career, he amassed 34,843runs in 459 games, laced with 108 centuries and 158 fifties.
