Former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer compared England’s James Anderson and Stuart Broad with India’s Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja. He rated the Indian spinners above the two pacers.

The English duo recently became the second bowling pair to claim 1000 wickets together. They achieved the landmark in the recently two-match Test series against New Zealand.

“Anderson-Broad and Ashwin-Jadeja are lethal combinations in home conditions. They are unstoppable. You want to face them away from their homes as a batter. The combination of Ashwin-Jadeja is a little bit better because they have not lost a series when they have played together on home soil.”

The sub-continent team last lost a series on home soil to England by a 2-1 margin. Since then, India have played 44 Tests at home, winning 36 and losing only two matches.
