Andre Russell is ready to play for the West Indies again and is ready to give up on his T20 leagues contracts. The veteran, who has been at loggerheads with the management and the cricket board, is interested in participating in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024.

Russell has been a part of various franchise tournaments across the globe and plays for Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League.

He last played for the Windies in the 2021 T20 World Cup in the UAE.

With West Indies set to take on the visiting Indian team in a five-match T20I series, the all-rounder said he is available.

“I am available to play for my team. I want to be a part of next World Cup so that would be something special to me if they can name me in the team,” he told the Jamaica Observer.

“I am looking to compete in a couple of series before the tournament,” he added.

‘I will sacrifice my T20 league contracts for the West Indies. I am ready to contribute in whichever capacity the team wants.”
