The iconic trio of Aamir Khan, R Madhavan, and Sharman Joshi, who featured in the iconic movie ‘3 Idiots’ in 2009, hogged the internet on Friday, March 24, when there were speculations that they are coming back with the sequel of the much-renowned movie.
In the latest development, it has been clarified that the star cast has not reunited for the film’s sequel rather they came together for a Dream 11 ad. The betting company released a new promotional advertisement featuring a press conference of Aamir, Madhavan, Joshi and also a few marquee Indian cricketers, including skipper Rohit Sharma.
In the ad, the actors announce that they are switching to playing cricket and roasted the game. Meanwhile, the cricketers took a dig at the actors. In the 1.5-minute-long ad, the clip that made the most noise is when Rohit Sharma roasts Aamir Khan for delivering one hit in two years.
“We decided that since they are busy acting, we can play cricket,” stated Aamir Khan. Several cricketers reacted to it, with Ravichandran Ashwin saying, “bolne ke liye paisa nahi lagta hai bhai (talking is free).”
Meanwhile, Rohit trolled Aamir by stating that no actor becomes a cricketer by just doing one famous movie on the sport. The 35-year-old also remarked that Aamir can’t be a hitman by delivering one hit in 2 years.
“Lagaan mein cricket khelke koi cricketer nahi ban jata (one doesn’t become a cricketer by playing in a film).”
Rohit mocked Aamir again, saying, “2 saal mein ek hit deke koi Hitman nahi ban jata (one doesn’t become a Hitman by giving 1 hit film in 2 years).”
Notably, the IPL begins on March 31, with Gujarat Titans taking on Chennai Super Kings.
