Afghanistan have broken a number of records during the second T20 match against Ireland. They posted a mammoth total of 278 for the loss of three wickets from their allotted 20 overs against a helpless bowling attack.
They surpassed the highest T20 total of 263/3 by Australia, which they had scored against Sri Lanka in 2016. Hazratullah Zazai and Usman Ghani, the two openers, set a new partnership record for the opening wicket with a brilliant 236-run stand.
Hazratullah remained unbeaten on 162, which is the highest T20 score by an Asian player.
