Former India opener and one of the leading commentators, Aakash Chopra recently picked his 14-member T20 World Cup squad. There was no place for MS Dhoni and Shikhar Dhawan in the team.
While Dhoni has not played for India since the last edition of the fifty-over World Cup in England and Wales, Shikhar Dhawan has struggled to score runs in the shortest format of the game.
Speaking on his YouTube Channel, Aakash included four frontline pacers and also included all-rounders Hardik Pandya and Shivam Dube.
Rohit and Rahul were named as the two openers. Rohit Sharma has been opening the batting for long while KL Rahul was in the amazing form before the lockdown.
He scored 224 runs in five T20Is against New Zealand. Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant will bat at number 3 and four, respectively.
Chopra named Hardik and Shivam as two pace-bowling all-round stars. Ravindra Jadeja in third all-rounder in his squad. He has done well in the last year.
Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav are next on Chopra’s list. Jasprit Bumrah, Deepak Chahar, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and Mohammed Shami are the four pacers.
