Mohammad Kaif has compared KL Rahul with the former India captain and one of the greatest batsmen in the history of cricket, Rahul Dravid. Kaif feels the Karnataka batsman reminds him of the 47-year-old legendary player.

Heaping praise on the Indian wicketkeeper-batsman, Kaif highlighted that Rahul is a versatile player and always ready to do anything for his team. Be it shuffling up and down the batting order or keeping the wickets in the limited-overs format, Rahul has proved his mettle in every situation just like Indian great, Dravid.

In the first T20I of the three-match series, the 28-year-old played a vital knock of 51 runs off 40 deliveries. Batting first, the Men in Blue got off to a poor start with most of the batsmen failed to deliver a good show. However, Rahul’s impressive innings powered India to post a total of 161 runs on board.

Speaking in a post-match show on Sony Sports Network, Kaif said, “KL Rahul reminds me of Rahul Dravid. He is ready to do anything, it shows that he is a team-player. If you play me at No.5, then I will do that role for the team. As a captain or team management, you are on the lookout for players like KL who is ready to lay down his life for the team. There are very few players who come like him.”
