Will Mata be the new magician for United?

Eyebrows were raised and it was totally normal when Chelsea boss Mourinho decided to sell his playmaker Mata, who had become a benchwarmer in the past six months. Well, it turned bad to worse as the playmaker was sold to none other than Chelsea’s rival club Manchester United! Shocks and discontent was not only shown from the Chelsea fans, but it did happen with the Soccer Pundits too. Nobody understood Jose Mourinho’s shrewd tactics of selling Mata. Nevertheless, liability for Chelsea but pure asset for any club and presently United has the gem, Juan Mata. It was absolute joy and excitement shown from the unhappy United fans who are still waiting for their team to excel at a higher level as they have been doing their business since decades. Manchester United manager David Moyes’s tactics has failed continuously after replacing ‘THE GREAT FERGIE’ and it has been a horror show from the red army. Though, only Champions League remains on the cards for Moyes, it will be a difficult task for the triumph. Forget about Premiere League title, top 4 spot looks in disarray and the Devils need to pull up their socks if they want to play Champions league next season. With total misery already piled up on Moyes, and with no January transfer plans, Mata’s buy was a big surprise for all. I must say Moyes might just have got the right player at the right time when United hunt for a top 4 spot as the title dreams were already shattered earlier. The former Gunner’s striker Van Persie’s form has been quite low as injury had hit him badly. One man army Rooney also couldn’t solve his team’s puzzle alone and looks out of form.

Well talking about Juan Mata, I would say United have got what they desperately needed. Juan Mata’s prolific career with Chelsea and Spain shows his natural talent and playmaking abilities. With Mata in for Moyes, United could well get a cutting edge as they were hovering since the start of the season. The young Spaniard can play in either flanks and can be lethal when played as an attacking mid-fielder. It depends on Devil’s Manager how he reshapes his team’s tactics and strategies. With Van Persie and Rooney making a comeback after an injury prone season, it will be difficult for the Scotsman to make reinforcements. Mata has been a success for Chelsea and with his arrival at Old Trafford can well be a goodbye for Kagawa. The former Chelsea player can also deploy himself in the heart of United’s midfield and can create a number of assists. His goal scoring tally for both Chelsea and his national side also can’t be left behind. A perfect free kick taker and an agile player already in his bag, one cannot ignore his pace and determination to win the ball. The only problem with the playmaker can be his height and aerial balls as he is not that strong with it. Frankly speaking, the best buy in the January transfer window breaking the club’s record signing with 37.1 millions. His style of play may just suit United and my opinion would be to make him play as an attacker as he is been doing since his days at Valencia. But, am not the final authority and it all depends on David Moyes how he uses his new prospect against other clubs. With very few matches to play and top 4 spot at stake, can Mata be the new hero for the red half of Manchester? I leave my question to you all!
