Sunil Gavaskar finds loopholes in Kohli's captaincy

Legendary Indian cricketer, Sunil Gavaskar feels current Indian skipper, Virat Kohli , still has a lot to learn when it comes to captaincy. Virat Kohli has captained India in 40 Tests, winning 22 games while losing just nine. But notably, India could win only two Tests out of eight Tests played in South Africa and England, this year.

Kohli has a fair bit of captaincy experience behind his name but still the former Indian opener, Gavaskar feels his inexperience shows in the kind of bowling changes and field placements he makes. "He (Virat) still has a lot to learn. Like we saw in South Africa earlier and now in England too, there were instances when right field placements or timely bowling changes made by him could have made a big difference. That was missing again. It has just been two years (he took over four years back) since he took over as a captain so at times the lack of experience shows," said while speaking to India Today.

India lost the Test series in England 1-4. India had lost to England 0-4 in 2011 and 1-3 in 2014 as well. India's last Test series win in England came in 2007 under the leadership of Rahul Dravid.

India had also lost the Test series played in South Africa, earlier, this year 1-2.
