Ish Sodhi replaces Zahir Khan

Rajasthan bought New Zealand's legspinner Ish Sodhi at his base price of $77,000 as a replacement for injured Zahir Khan of Afghanistan.

This year Sodhi recorded second best figures in the Big Bash when he took 6-11 for Adelaide Strikers after replacing Chris Jordan of England toward the end of Australia's premier Twenty20 league season.

Sodhi, who will be playing in the IPL for the first time, was part of New Zealand's T20 squad that played World Twenty20 in India in 2016. He also toured India with the national team for the ODI series in September last year.

Sodhi has 102 wickets in 92 T20s with an average of 23.09 and has a good economy rate of 7.66.
