IPL 2018 Auction: 1122 players register for IPL Player Auction

Indian heavyweights like Yuvraj Singh, Gautam Gambhir, R Ashwin and many others have registered themselves for the upcoming IPL auction process. They will be joined by foreign stalwarts Chris Gayle, Ben Stokes, Brendon McCullum, Joe Root and others, who too are set to find a place in the squad of any franchise. In total, 1122 players have given their names.

The mega IPL auction scheduled to take place in Bengaluru on January 27-28 will witness close battle between eight franchises when it comes to buying top stars.

The list that has been sent out to the eight IPL franchises has 281 capped players, 838 uncapped players, including 778 Indians and three players from the Associate nations.

Indian Premier League is the favorite destination of players, the amount its offers, have never been heard or seen before in cricket. Apart from the financial gain, players get a chance to play with big international stars, something they don’t want to miss. Even top cricket nations, who earlier were reluctant to send their players, are now happily ready to let go their players.
