Fearing for her life, Sakshi Dhoni applies for gun license

Former Indian cricket captain MS Dhoni's wife Sakshi has alleged 'threat to life,' and sought permission to carry a pistol or 0.32 revolver.

For most of the day, she remains alone, whether at home or while doing chores outside, and so needs protection, she wrote in her arms license application.

No issues have been found with her application yet, reports said. Processing is underway.

The cricketer applied for an arms license more than 10 years ago, in 2006. Initially, it was turned down. In 2010, he was finally allowed a 9mm pistol after submitting a character certificate to the Ranchi district administration, which it sent to the Centre for approval.

Last year MS Dhoni showed his shooting skills at Kolkata Police Shooting Range ahead of India vs Australia second ODI against Australia.

In a video posted by Kolkata Police on their Facebook page, Dhoni is seen aiming with a pistol and firing a couple of rounds.
