As England XI put India A into put in the first tour match, MS Dhoni greeted his fans to turn up in huge numbers to witness his final game as a skipper.
"Thanks to all of them. They have been behind me for a long time since 2007. Good for them to turn up (in large numbers for the warm-up game)," he said.
"The fact that they have turned up for a warm-up game shows they love me. It is a good feeling. At the end of day you want fans to love you," Dhoni added.
The 35 year old later scored an unbeaten 68 off 40 balls to rocket India A’s score to 304/4. However, a scintillating innings by Sam Billings paved the way for England eventually.
