Former India skipper Sachin Tendulkar was inducted into ICC Hall of Fame. He became the sixth Indian cricketer to get the honor. The legendary cricketer was wished by former cricketers from all corners. Sachin, who made his commentary debut in the recently concluded World Cup, had shared the space with Pakistan veteran Waqar Younis.

Waqar recalled Sachin’s debut against Pakistan in 1989 and the innings he played at Chennai in 1999.

“I can’t forget a little inning he played at Sialkot 1989 and a Hundred at Chennai 1999. From pitch side to the commentary box. Thirty unbelievable and amazing years. Lovely sharing commentary box with you #LittleMaster @sachin_rt #CWC19,” Waqar tweeted.

Bishan Singh Bedi (2009), Sunil Gavaskar (2009), Kapil Dev (2009), Anil Kumble (2015) and Rahul Dravid (2018) are the other five Indian cricketers who have been inducted into ICC Hall of Fame.

“It is an honour to be inducted into the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame, which cherishes the contribution of cricketers over generations. They have all contributed to the growth and popularity of the game and I am happy to have done my bit,” said Tendulkar.
