Mohammed Siraj had a nightmarish game against Kolkata Knight Riders at the M Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru. Besides dropping two catches, his beamer to Andre Russell allowed the West Indies all-rounder to open his arms. Fans on twitter were in no mood to spare Mohammed Siraj and came up with hilarious memes to troll the fast bowler.
Here are some of the memes:
His horror day started with putting down a sitter to give Lynn a lifeline. Siraj dropped another catch that allowed Nitish Rana to continue his knock. However, Lynn and Rana couldn’t do much damage as they were dismissed by Negi and Chahal respectively.
Siraj's biggest mistake took place in the 18th over of KKR innings. The right arm pacer started brilliantly by bowling two dot balls to Andre Russell. His third ball was a wide, which was followed by a beamer. The bowler was barred by the umpires for his second beamer.
Virat Kohli handed the ball to Marcus Stoinis to bowl the three remaining balls but he was hammered for sixes by Russell.
In a major blow to Chennai Super Kings, star all-rounder Dwayne Bravo will be out of action for two weeks owing to hamstring strain. He suffered the injury during CSK's match against Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede stadium.
“I can confirm it’s a grade one hamstring strain and he is going to be out for two weeks. It is a big loss. Obviously (he) offers so much balance to the team and his quality as a player... So it is going to cause a little bit of rejigging of the team, but I am sure we will still be able to put together a very strong team,” said Hussey.
“And yes it is a big loss for us but we have had these challenges in the past and have been able to overcome them. So let us hope we can do that again, he added.
Batting coach Mike Hussey further added that Scott Kuggeleijn would be looked at.
“... yeah definitely I think so, I am sure MS (Dhoni) and (head coach Stephen) Fleming will be looking at Scott and assessing his death bowling skills. Shardul (Thakur) has done a bit of it, Mohit Sharma can bowl at the death. It is about assessing the conditions a bit as well and assessing which bowlers are suited to bowl at the later stages of the game.
“You never know if it is a real turning pitch.
